2021 Virtual Conference Sessions - viewing the recordings on Whova

The conference recordings from the 2021 VMN Virtual Conference are available to you until March 31, 2022.  Please note that, in order to make the videos available as quickly as possible, we have published them with the un-edited captions.  We are in the process of having the videos professionally captioned, and we expect that to be done in about one week.

Accessing Recorded Conference Content in Whova as a Conference Registrant:
  • Log on to Whova by going to https://whova.com/portal/webapp/vmnsc_202110/sign_in/ and using your email address and the password you created.
  • Navigate to Sessions, under Agenda in the left-hand column.
  • Use the search bar or click on the correct day to locate the session of interest.  Click “View Session”.
  • On the session page, look for the link to “Watch the recorded video here.”, just above the presenter’s name.
  • Further down the page, you will find any accompanying handouts that the presenter wanted to share with you.
  • Remember that there are seven, on-demand bonus sessions that were only pre-recorded content!  Those are listed under Sunday’s agenda, so be sure to check them out.
  • For the four sessions that combined pre-recorded content and a live discussion, we have posted the pre-recorded portion as a subsession.  Follow the same directions to navigate to the session, and then look for the subsession with the pre-recorded content on that page.  It’s best if you watch the pre-recorded portion before the recording of the live discussion.

Another Route:
Instead of navigating to the session page, look for “Resources” in the left-hand column and click the drop-down menu.  You’ll see “Video Gallery” there, which will show you a grouping of all 22 videos!

Using a mobile device?  Use the Agenda tab or the Videos tab to find the recordings!

Overview

The Virginia Master Naturalist 2021 Statewide Conference and Volunteer Training is going virtual!  This year’s event will be held October 1-3, 2021.  As with our in-person conferences, this event aims to provide high-quality continuing education for VMN volunteers and to promote networking amongst volunteers and program partners.

Registration
Registration is now closed. Thanks to everyone who registered!

If you have registered and have not received an invitation to Whova, please email Tiffany at [email protected]

Conference Platform

As this year's VMN Conference is virtual, we have engaged a user-friendly online conference platform to help everyone connect and view sessions easily. The platform is called Whova and you can access it via a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone. There is a downloadable app for tablets and smartphones that can be found in the App Store or Google Play.

The Whova app and access are FREE! You do not need to download the app now. We will send you an email with instructions on how to access conference content. The 2021 VMN Virtual Conference will be available in Whova on September 25, 2021.
